14 July :- Wimbledon 2018 Women’s Single Final: In the women’s singles event of the Wimbledon today, 11th-ranked Germany’s Angeli Karber defeated 25th seed Serena Williams 6-3, 6-3 in straight sets. With this victory, she won her first Wimbledon title and the third Grand Slam title.

After the Little daughter, Serena made ‘Comeback’ in tennis from this tournament. So Serena was very much looking forward to this tournament. Accordingly, Serena reached the final of the tournament. But in the final match, she did not play the role. Karber had dominated the match from the beginning. The fans had hoped that Kerber would be given a tough fight from Serena. However, the match was completely unilaterally.

With this victory, Kerber won his first-ever Wimbledon title in his career. She became the third Grand Slam champion in her career. Earlier, Kerber had won the title of each of the Australian Open and American Open. She had won both these winners in 2016.
