29 July :- Two Trinamool Congress workers have been arrested in connection with the murder of BJP leader in South 24-Parganas district of West Bengal. Police have sent two accused to the court and eight days police custody has been sent to them. A case has been registered against BJP leader Shaktipada Sardar (age-45) on Friday night when some unknown assailants attacked and assaulted him with a weapon.

After the incident came to light, BJP leaders accused the TMC workers of handing over the assassination. Now the police arrested two TMC workers. However, this is not the first allegation of killing of BJP workers at TMC workers, in many cases such allegations have been made before. Earlier in June, a BJP worker was killed in Purulia district. Only three days after this incident, another BJP leader was killed in Purulia. In addition, a TMC worker was also killed in June. In each of these incidents, both parties were accused of one another.
