Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has constituted a high-level committee to investigate the irregularities in the recruitment examinations of 68,500 assistant teachers who had recently concluded. This committee will present its report within seven days, defining responsibility of the culprits.
State Government spokesman said that Principal Secretary Sugar Industry and Sugarcane Development Sanjay R Bhusareddy will be the Chairman of this committee. Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan director Vedapati Mishra and Basic Education Director Sarvendra Vikram Singh have been nominated as members.
Secretary Sutta Singh suspended
At the same time CM has been instructed to initiate disciplinary action against the Secretary-level Regulatory Authority, Sutan Singh, who was found to be the first to be found guilty for irregularities, with immediate effect. In the period of suspension, the director will be associated with the Lucknow office of Basic Education.
Not only that, the Chief Minister has also instructed the deployment of the immediate officers on the vacancies of the Basic Education Council and the Secretary, Examination Regulatory Authority, Allahabad.
In fact, in this case, a writ petition number 24172/2018, in the case of Sonika Devi v. State of Uttar Pradesh, it has been found by the High Court that the answer sheet of candidate was changed at the time of evaluation. After this, the state’s advocate general informed the High Court that after taking necessary examination in this regard at the government level, any person found guilty will be acted according to the rules.
A list of 23 candidates who were unqualified were also received in this recruitment examination, but they were declared qualifying in the examination. All these appointments have been stopped by the council when the case comes to light.
