New Delhi: 06 July :- Amarnath Yatra 2018: Amarnath Yatra started again in Pahalgam in Kashmir Valley on Friday, while the pilgrimage from Baltal route was also stopped for the third day. A Jammu and Kashmir official said, “After the improvement in the weather, the pilgrims have been allowed to go ahead (towards the cave temple) ahead of Pahalgam base camp. However, no one was permitted to move forward from Baltal. ‘
The campaign to clear landslide continues on the Baltal route, where on Tuesday four pilgrims and a local citizen died due to landslides. In this accident, 10 others were injured, after which pilgrimage was stopped.
Governor NN Vohra visited the Baltal base camp and took stock of the situation. Vohra is the Chairman of the Shri Amarnath Jee Shrine Board (SASB). So far 68,000 pilgrims have traveled in the pilgrimage started from 28th June this year.
Let us tell you that despite the threat of floods in the valley due to continuous rain, Amarnath Yatra started on June 28 at the scheduled time. This journey will end on August 26 on the day of Raksha Bandhan.
