18 Aug : News Express 24 :-

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan sworn in as Pakistan’s 22nd Prime Minister on Saturday. One day before taking oath, he proved a majority in the lower house of the Pakistani parliament. During this, he said addressing the people of Pakistan, the robbers of the country would not be spared in our government. During this, he looked very aggressive.

In his first address as Prime Minister, he said, “I promise today that we will bring the change for which this country has been trying for a long time. We have to maintain strict accountability in this country. I promise that I will take action against those who looted Pakistan. The black money that was whitened, I will bring it back. The money which should have been spent on education, health and water, they went in the pocket of the people. ‘

The protest happening due to the speech

In his speeches, not as a prime minister but as a leader of an opposing camp. Through this speech Pakistan had hoped that they would talk about the country but in most part of his speech, there was a splashing and attacking attitude on the opposition. Contrary to expectations, their traditional fierabrand style appeared in their address. In which he kept the whole time opposition on target, ridiculed political opponents.

The people of Pakistan had hoped for a balanced speech from them, in which to give a better direction to the government, there should be talk about inclusion, reconciliation and openness towards political opponents. But he challenged his political opponents with bitterness.

Opposition leaders called dacoity

In fact, Shahbaz cautioned that if the government does not investigate fraud in the elections, they will start the show. On this, Imran challenged Shahbaz to detain him in D-Chowk for one month. Imran said, ‘Do not try to blackmail me.’ Pashtun, who founded PTI in 1996, said that he has reached this stage after the 22 years of struggle. Embarrassing towards Nawaz Sharif, convicted in corruption case, he said that he will not be lenient towards any ‘dacoit’.

After this speech of Khan, there was a kind of fury in political and public corridors. Many people said that Khan should have given a speech by being calm and serious, the new Prime Minister did not expect such speeches.

Political analysts are not happy

East Pakistan Election Commissioner Kanwar Dilshad spoke to the Express Tribune about the speech of PM Imran Khan. They said, ‘They need to improve their ways, the better they will do as soon as possible.’ He said that Khan needs to adjust to the new political realities as he is on the top and sit in the chair in the National Assembly.

Dilshad said that a chosen Prime Minister should not behave like a Leader of the Opposition. They will have to face criticism and they will have to play the role of a person who ends up mutual differences and stress. According to Dilshad, during the majority test in the Parliament of Pakistan, he lost his temper due to the opposition’s attitude.

He said, ‘Perhaps Imran was not seen that the announcement of PPP’s decision to stay away from the polls in Friday’s election was clearly in his favor. Actually, they were hoping that after the majority test, the opposition’s reaction would be formal. But opposition leaders expressed anger after voting in the House and protested. It appears that after this unexpected reaction the newly elected Prime Minister lost his temper and became aggressive. But they have to learn to stay calm. ‘

Imran said, ‘I have not come on the shoulders of a dictator; I have reached this position after a struggle of 22 years. Only one leader fought more than me and he was my hero (Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali) Jinnah. ‘

People of the party are also unhappy with the style of speech

Even after the majority test, the leaders of PTI itself believed that their leader, ie Imran Khan’s attitude in the House, was inappropriate. At the same time, some leaders of Khan’s party also supported him. On condition of anonymity, a PTI leader said that Imran Khan wanted to make his speech very well balanced. At the same time, Imran tried to show something different from his speech given after winning the party. He specifically prepared for this. They said, ‘But things have not happened as they thought. After the opposition created a ruckus in the House, they got off their path. I hope he will go ahead. ‘

Rana Sanaullah, senior leader of PML-N, said, “You are the Prime Minister of the country. You should work on your level keeping in mind the dignity of that post. You have to learn how to behave. ‘ He said tanging, “Imran Khan will be able to stay in power only for a short time. But as long as you are there, you have to learn to respect others. ‘
