04 July :- To overcome the resentment of the farmers, the central government has increased the support price of all the 14 crops in Kharif. Given the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, this move of the government is being viewed as a master stroke in a way.
The government has increased the support price of paddy by Rs. 200 per quintal. Earlier, the farmers got Rs 1550 for the paddy but now they will be given Rs 1750 for this purpose. About 12 crore farmers of the country will be benefitted directly.

After this decision PM Modi said that I am very happy that the promise of giving the 1.5 MSP MSP of the Kisan brothers and sisters to the farmers has been fulfilled today. Historical increase has been made this time in the minimum support price for the crops.
He said, “Whatever initiative is necessary for development of agriculture sector and for the welfare of the farmers, the government is committed to it. We have been consistently taking steps in this direction and will continue to take necessary steps. ”

At the same time, Indian Farmer Union Punjab has termed the increase of 200 rupees on the paddy crop of the Modi government as “inadequate”. Balbir Singh Rajewal, leader of the Indian Farmer Union, has expressed displeasure over the Center’s decision.
