30 May :- Unions of the bank employees have started the strike over the issue of wage hikes. The impact of this strike has started to show. Because of their strike for two days, 85 thousand bank branches are going to be closed tomorrow and tomorrow. Because of this, people have to face difficulties in taking various services related to the bank.

The branches of some private banks, including State Bank of India, will also be closed today and tomorrow. A senior official of the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) claimed that due to the strike, the clearance of 39 lakh instruments would be affected every day. These instruments are valued at Rs 21,700 crores.

In fact, the agreement between the bank unions and the Indian Banks Association (IBA) has not been agreed on the issue of wage hikes. After this, more than 10 lakh bank employees have gone on strike since today, May 30. Their strike is going on for two days.

About the strike, State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda and Punjab and Sind Bank had already said that they could get its effect on banking services. He had said that among the strike workers, his bank also has employees.

Ravinder Gupta, general secretary of the bank union AIBOC said that we had given the notice to the IBA 25 days in advance, but IBA failed to compromise with the bank employees during this time. He said that the bank employees are not being paid increments equal to their hard work.

According to bank unions, the Indian Banks Association (IBA) has proposed to increase their salaries by 2 percent. They say that this is no equal. This is his protest in protest.

The United Forum of Bank Union (UFBU) includes several unions of bank employees. There are many other unions, including the All India Bank Officers Confederation (AIBOC), the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) and the National Organization of Bank Workers (NOBW).
