The Mumbai Indians did their own title of the year 2013, 2015 and 2017, and these three titles were found in the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Now after Rohit, Dhoni has also made Chennai Super Kings the IPL champion three times.

Earlier, Chennai Super Kings had won the title of 2010 and 2011 in the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, but Dhoni, who returned to Chennai after a two-year ban, Dhoni, in the same fashion, made the title of the season 11 champion Completed the hat-trick.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s team lost 17 wickets in 20 overs and scored 178 runs and challenged 179 runs in front of Chennai Super Kings before they lost the toss in this title match. In reply, Chennai Super Kings took the IPL trophy for the third time, making 181 runs of 9 balls remaining, thanks to Shane Watson’s stormy century. In the final, Shane Watson made a hundred in 51 balls to make the win easier for Chennai.

Shane Watson made an unbeaten 117 in 57 balls, making Chennai Super Kings the winner of IPL for the third time. Thanks to the finest innings of Watson, Chennai broke Sunrisers Hyderabad’s dream of winning their second title in the IPL11 final. It was Chennai’s seventh IPL final and its captain Dhoni’s eighth. Chennai’s name is counted among the most successful teams in IPL history because he has played nine seasons and made all the time in the playoffs.

Looking at the performance of this season of Hyderabad, it seemed as if the match would be exciting, but Watson, who hit 11 fours and eight sixes, made it more entertaining than exciting. This is Watson’s second century in this season. He has become the fourth batsman to score two centuries in one IPL season. He has also become the first batsman to score a century in pursuit of the target in the IPL final.

Watson and his partner Faf du Plessis (10) tried to give a quick start to Chennai, but they did not succeed because Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Sandeep Sharma kept both tied. In this pressure du Plessis lost patience and Sandeep’s ball was trapped by him in an attempt to play a big shot.

Hyderabad would dominate, but Watson did not allow this to happen and Suresh Raina gave him a good hand in this. Both of them made an in-depth shift with quick pick-up. Both knew that Rashid Khan could create trouble for him, so he did not kill them. The total of Rashid’s total of three overs has only 12 runs. Both shared a 117-run partnership for the second wicket.

Raina was dismissed by Carlos Brathwaite on 133 for the third ball of the 14th over. Raina scored 24 runs in 24 balls with three fours and a six. Watson completed his second century in this season with a run in the third ball of the 17th over, for which he took 51 balls. Ambati Rayudu returned with a four and a six in 19 balls with Watson. He made the Chowk defeating Chennai as the winner.
