07 July :- The Delhi court has granted bail to Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor in connection with the death of Sunanda Pushkar. Subrataanam Swamy has also filed a question mark on behalf of Shashi Tharoor on the application filed in this case.
Sunanda Pushkar died in a luxury hotel in Delhi in January 2014. In this case, Tharoor has been booked under section 4 9 A (cruel persecution of woman by husband) and section 306 (motivating suicide). Two days back, the Delhi court granted anticipatory bail to Tharoor.
Shashi Tharoor appeared in the court on Saturday morning in Delhi. The application for regular bail was made by them. The court granted bail to the sessions court after the application was granted for anticipatory bail applications and now there is no need to apply for regular bail.
Shashi Tharoor’s lawyers presented the question on the application filed by Subramaniam Swamy. Subramaniam Swamy requested that he give an opportunity to appear in court. According to Swamy, the police should also submit the confidential report in this case. Shashi Tharoor’s lawyers objected to this. This matter will go on the next 26th of July.
