The lawyer of Sudha Bhardwaj accused the Pune police of not following the order of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. On Tuesday evening, the Judicial Magistrate rejected Sudha Bhardwaj’s transit bail and gave relief to the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The High Court has directed that the magistrate not to take him to Pune if he decides to transmit remand.
Despite the order of the High Court, Pune Police arrested them. Sudha Bhardwaj’s advocate said that this is a violation of the order of the High Court. Sudha Bharadwaj is fighting different cases of tribals, and for their work, they are recognized in the grassroots. They were arrested from Faridabad.
Commenting on his arrest, renowned author and historian Ramchandra Guha said that I am convinced of one thing as a writer of Mahatma Gandhi’s character. If Mahatma Gandhi was alive today, he would have been standing in court to defend the advocate and defend Sudh Bhardwaj. Guha said in his tweet that I am thinking that the Modi government has not arrested Mahatma Gandhi yet.
