On Thursday, the bandh call was given in some parts of the state. A bandi call was given at Maval, Sindhudurg, Barshi in Solapur, Yeola in Nashik. Activists at Mawal Somate, Kanhe Phata, Kamshet protested on the Mumbai-Pune highway. At Talegaon Dabhade, agitators blocked traffic on the nearly half an hour old highway. The protesters blocked the Bhusawal-Manmad Express at Malvi station. Around 15 minutes the protesters had to lay down their feet. The police finally removed the protesters and the railway traffic on this route was restored. On the back of the bandh in Maval taluka, the police have diverted the traffic from Pimpri-Chinchwad (Nigdi) to Bhakti Shakti Chowk and Lonavla.
