Severe tremors of earthquake in northern Japan, fear of considerable damage

Earthquake tremors were felt on Thursday on the Hokayido island of Japan. With the incident of landlides, electricity was stalled in about three million homes. Electricity was supplied from the generator in an atomic plant.

Japan Meteorological Department said that the tremors of the 6.7-magnitude earthquake were felt on the Hokayido island on Thursday at three o’clock in the morning. The center of the earthquake was in the city of Tomakomai in a depth of 40 kilometers.
