Satara : 14 June :- The racket Satara has been ransacked by a local crime branch team, which has been trying to conceal and sell the fake currency worth two thousand rupees and five hundred rupees in the Koteshwar temple area of Satara city. They have seized Rs 56 lakh 42 thousand five hundred rupees. All the accused arrested are from Satara city, informed Superintendent of Police Sandeep Patil.
According to the police, Aniket Pramod Yadav (new MIDC, Satara) and Amol Arjun Shinde (Gadkari Alley, Satara) are trying to run fake currency in the Koteshwar temple area, according to the police. Police seized a total of 56 lakh 42 thousand five hundred rupees, the entire printed fake currency of 26 lakh 54 thousand five hundred rupees and half printed notes of 29 lakh 88 thousand rupees were arrested by the local crime branch. In this case, six accused, Ganesh Bhondve, Amol Shinde, Aniket Yadav, Amey Belkar, Rahul Pawar and another one were arrested. The notes were printed in the Ganesh Arpitan in the accused Shukrvar Peth.
Just a few days ago, Shubham Khamkar was arrested by a local Crime Investigation Department for supplying a note to Gaus Gabber Momen, a fake currency run in Sangli. On the second day, the racket running fake currency notes of Rs 2,000 and Rs 500 in the market was demolished by the local crime investigation department. In addition, vehicles and mobile phones worth Rs 1 lakh 33 thousand 500 were also seized. In this case, crime has been registered in Shahupuri Police Station.
