Mumbai: 02 June:- Transport Minister and ST corporation chief Diwakar Raote has announced a hike in salary for ST employees. This increase is Rs 4,489 crore, which will increase the wages of the workers by 32 to 48 percent. This is going to benefit 1.55 thousand 67 ST employees in the state, informed Minister Diwakar Raote, in a press conference held here today.
Minister Shri Raiyote announced that this important decision was also made in respect of junior employees’ wages. Apart from this, Savitribai Jyotiba Phule Scholarship Scheme and Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Education Agrim Yojana were also announced for ST students’ education.
Minister Shri Rawat met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thakre before the announcement of this salary. He said that by announcing the increase in salary, we would announce it.
MP Arvind Sawant, MLA Bhai Jagtap and ST Corporation Vice President and Managing Director Ranjit Singh Deol were present at the press conference in Sahyadri State Guest House.
Minister Shri Rao said that with the approval of the ST employees’ affiliation, we have been negotiating over the past several days. But the organization rejected the suggestions made by the corporation. During the previous government’s tenure of 15 years, there has been great injustice to ST employees. We tried to solve that injustice. He said today that we are announcing the wages hike even more than all the contracts so far.
The contract to be carried out with recognized staff is currently under judicial process. Not knowing how long it will take to get the results. Until then it is a great injustice to employees to stop their salary increases. So, today we are announcing this increment without waiting for a salary agreement, he said.
2.5 thousand to 12 thousand increments
Minister Shri Rao said that the issue of junior employees was critical in the ST corporation. Even after doing the same work, they were getting uneven salary. You have removed the junior pay scale from 3 years to 1 year, and now it has been canceled. Incremental increments have been announced for the employees who have worked in the junior pay scale for employees of 3 and 5 years respectively. Accordingly, the salary of these employees will now be increased from Rs. 2,581 to a maximum of 9, 105 rupees.
Today, the salary of regular payroll employees will now be increased from Rs 3,6 9 2 to Rs 12,071.
Steep increase in ST employees’ allowances also increased
Minister Shri Raiyote also announced a massive increase in the number of allowances of ST employees. Its financial burden is about Rs 250 crore per year. Hazardous Incentive Allowance (for 42 days) has now been increased from Rs 180 to Rs 1,200. The washing allowance of Rs 14 to Rs 50 has now gone up to Rs 100. The nightly allowance of 11 and 13 rupees has been increased to Rs 35 and Rs 45 respectively. At present, ordinary allowance is only Rs 4. It has now been reduced to Rs 75. Besides this, the night allowance for the night allowance is Rs 11 from Rupees 11 and the nightly allowance of 15 rupees in the specified place is now reduced to Rs 100. Minister Shri Rao said this.
The revised pay scales will be implemented immediately under the administrative work. But, dt. The amount of outstanding balance of 26 months, from 1 April 2016 to 30 June 2018, will be paid in 48 equal installments. If the employees are notified of revised payroll, then the letter should be issued to the administration by 07 June 2018. For those who did not accept increment, the corporation has made other options available. If such employees leave their resignation then they will be given contractual employment for Rs. 20 thousand for driver and Rs. 19 thousand for carrier. Minister Shri Raiyote announced that the salary will be increased by Rs 200 per year. He said that if the approved organizations are allowed to increase the salary, then the administration of the corporation will be able to enter into an agreement.
Various schemes announcement for ST employees
Savitribai Jotiba Phule Scholarship Scheme is being started for the students studying in ST College, and for the education of employees, they have decided to pay Rs. 750 per month for their education.
Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Education Agrim Yojna is being implemented to pay the educational fees of the college for the employees who are studying in the college for not taking the burden of the workers’ fees on employees of the ST corporation, and for this, the compensation for the employees is given as an advance and their reimbursement is fixed in a fixed period It has been decided to cut wages every month.
