New Delhi: 17 June :- Despite the announcement of a one-sided ceasefire during Ramzan in Jammu and Kashmir, after a series of terrorist attacks, stones and violence, the central government has now announced to start the operation again against the militants in the valley. The government has instructed the security forces to take necessary steps to prevent terrorist incidents and violent acts in the valley. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that on 17th May it was decided that the security forces will not run in the holy month of Ramzan. This decision was taken keeping in mind the peace loving people of Jammu and Kashmir so that they did not have any problem during Ramzan. In spite of all inciting incidents, the government appreciates the security forces to implement this decision effectively.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that the announcement of the unilateral ceasefire of the government was welcomed across the country including Jammu and Kashmir and due to this, the general public got much relief. It was expected that everyone will cooperate fully for the success of this initiative. During the unilateral ceasefire where security forces introduced restraint, terrorists on the other hand continued the attacks on security forces and civilians. Because of this, soldiers and civilians were killed and injured. He said, “The government will continue its efforts to create an environment free from terror and violence in Jammu and Kashmir”.

Rajnath Singh said that for the complete elimination of terrorists all the people of the peace-loving class of society should come together. At the same time, people who have been strayed from the path of peace should also motivate people. Significantly, the government had announced a one-sided ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir during the month of Ramzan. On behalf of the government it was said that no action will be taken on their behalf in the month of Ramzan. But if there is an attack, the security forces can take retaliation to save lives of their own or innocent citizens. Army sources said that nowadays that the cardon and search operation and SADO that means the search and distraction operations will be less than before. Although despite this announcement of the government, the reduction in terror incidents has increased in the valley and many jawans were martyred. Common civilians also died.
The Security Forces are being directed to take all necessary actions as earlier to prevent terrorists from launching attacks and indulging in violence and killings.
