29 May :- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going on a three-day tour for five days from today. On Tuesday afternoon PM Modi left for Indonesia. PM will visit Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore in this five-day tour. This tour will further boost the country’s East East Policy.

Before the visit, PM Modi said on Monday that India has strong relations with Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. The annual security conference in Singapore will address the Shangri La talk on June 1.
The PM said that for the first time an Indian Prime Minister will address this conference. This will be an opportunity to express India’s views on regional security issues.
PM Modi will arrive in Indonesia this evening. In a statement on the Facebook page, the Prime Minister said that he will be in Jakarta on the invitation of Indonesian President Joko Widodo. He said, “This is my first visit to Indonesia as Prime Minister. The discussions will be held on May 30 with President Vidodo. At the same time, we will have a joint dialogue with the Indo-Indonesia CEO Forum. PM will meet with the people of Indian community in Indonesia and address them.
On May 31, when the Prime Minister goes to Singapore, the Prime Minister will stay in Malaysia for a while, congratulating the new leadership of Malaysia. Prime Minister Mahatir will meet Mohammed.
PM Modi will meet Singapore’s President Halima Yakub on June 1 and hold delegation level talks with Singapore Prime Minister Lee. There will be bilateral talks between the two countries, in which there will be agreement like defense and skill development.
PM will unveil a plaque on June 2, at Clifford Pier, where on 27 March 1948 Gandhiji’s status was immersed.
The Modi government introduced India’s East East Policy, which aims to focus in the Asia Pacific region. It is believed that the visit of PM will strengthen India’s East East Policy.
