Party President Rahul Gandhi reached Rajghat to lead the shutdown of the Congress called by the Congress today against rising prices of petrol and diesel and inflation. Rahul Gandhi had gone on a visit to Mansarovar for some days and after returning from there, he landed on the streets to support the bandh.

Congress President paid Rajghat to Rajghat and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and he carried the water brought from Kailash Lake to Bapu’s Tomb. After this, he is led by the march, along with Rahul Gandhi, many leaders of the Opposition including senior Congress leaders have also left Rajghat on March against inflation and this March has reached its final stop at Ramlila Maidan.

All the leaders of the opposition parties are sitting here on the dharna UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also arrived in Ramlila Maidan to hold the Opposition
In the March of the Opposition, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh and TMC leader also appeared. Although it was said earlier on behalf of both the parties that it will not be part of this bandh AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that bypassing small opposites, we are all ready to unite against rising inflation.
NCP chief Sharad Pawar, who was joining in March, had himself reached. Apart from Sharad Yadav, Tariq Anwar, Manoj Jha from RJD, Danish Ali from JDS, Jayant Chaudhary from RLD and others joined Rahul Gandhi in this March.
Closed support of 21 opposition parties
This band, called by the Congress, has the support of more than 20 parties. During the bandh, Opposition parties are protesting against the Modi government on different issues protesting in different states of the country. The Congress has called for this bandh to be directly opposed to inflation, but the various parties have their own issues which they are taking to the streets today.
