17 July : Mumbai :-
The movement is being started by Maharashtra’s MP Swamybhani Shetkari Sanghatana by MP Raju Shetty to get the milk producer’s farmers to increase the prices. On the backdrop of this agitation, Western Railway has allowed the connectivity of 55440 Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Passenger train to the milk container.
This decision has been taken to prevent milk scarcity in Mumbai. The 5,9440 Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central passenger train will have 12 bulk containers of 44 thousand liters capacity added. Western Railway has allowed this for the next few days. On Tuesday, the workers of Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana organized a Gokul milk tanker at Hadapsar in Pune.

At Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur, Pune and Amravati, the volunteers of the Swabhiman community broke the milk tankers and poured milk on the road. In some places milk bags were thrown on the road. The purpose behind this movement is to prevent the supply of milk to Mumbai. But still, self-respect does not seem to be successful, because on Tuesday no milk was felt anywhere in Mumbai. . Milk supply in Mumbai is going on smoothly. Police had to protect every car from Mumbai entrance to the milk center to prevent the breakdown of milk trains in milk or where the milk should be given.
Raju Shetty demands rejection of CM :-
Only 40% of the total milk production in the state is provided by the milk cooperative federation and 60% of the milk is compiled by private companies. The private milk union has no statistics of farmers. Therefore, if the direct subsidy to the farmers for milk will be given new scam. It is not possible to give subsidy for milk, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis rejected the demand of self-respecting farmer organization to grant subsidy of Rs 5 per liter to the farmers’ accounts. MP Raju Shetty’s agitation is wrong. He said that the state government is always open to discussions and is ready to discuss with Shetty.
