In Bihar, the SC / ST category employees were already getting promotion in the promotion. However, it has been closed since last two years. However, the government had filed writ petitions in this regard on the Supreme Court. The court had given the verdict on May 17 and June 6. Following the decision, the Bihar government has decided to postpone the proposal for consultation with the Union Ministry of Personnel and Training. However, this reservation will be applied only after the final order has been passed by the Supreme Court.
The Patna High Court had decided to terminate its promotion in 2016. After that, state government employees in Bihar had been given reservation in certain categories. However, on 5th June, the Supreme Court had ordered the reservation to be kept until the next order.
Meanwhile, the issue of reservation in the promotion was very hot a few days ago. The opposition had accused the BJP of ending the reservation and the conspiracy to undermine the Atrocities Act. While clarifying the government for this, the rules of reservation and the Atrocity Act will be retained. However, Nitish Kumar is speaking in the state of Karnataka that the announcement of this reservation in the state has been kept in view in the forthcoming elections of 2019. So what will be the consequences of this will now depend on the Supreme Court’s decision.
