Bihar’s Social Welfare minister Manju Verma resigned after the husband’s name came to light in the girl child torture case in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur. In this case it is clear that during the call details of the main accused, Brijesh Thakur, several times he and Minister Manju Varma’s husband have been in conversation.

Meanwhile, during the hearing on Wednesday, accused Brijesh Thakur also said that he knew Manju Verma’s husband. Social welfare minister Manju Verma’s resignation was continuously demanded by opposition parties in this high-profile case in Bihar. Besides, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had said that if the guilty found guilty in this case, action will be taken against him.

According to media reports, the main accused in the case, Brijesh Thakur, has interacted with the husband of minister Manju Verma 17 times over the phone. This was revealed after Thakur’s phone call report was received. The CBI, which is investigating the matter, is scrutinizing the CDR. Meanwhile, Manju Verma’s husband Chandrashekhar Verma had to appear in the girl’s house many times, initially it has been revealed.
