11 July :- Members of Rajya Sabha will be able to use 22 languages in the coming monsoon episode. The Vice President and the Rajya Sabha’s Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu will speak in all the languages mentioned in the 8th list of Constitution. Vyankayya Naidu explained. Dogri, Kashmiri, Konkani, Santhali and Sindhi have been facilitated to translate these five languages, and now these five-language MPs can speak in their mother tongue in the hall.
Immediate translation facilitates 12 of the 22 languages contained in the list. These include Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu languages.
Speaking about the new facility, Vice President Vaidya Naidu said, “I always think that mother tongue is the best medium of expressing my feelings and thoughts without any obstruction. Since no language is available only, MPs in a multi-lingual place like Parliament should not have to become vulnerable or impaired. That is why I am trying to make the provision of instant translation of the 22 languages included in the list of events. I am happy that this facility is being implemented from the coming rainy season.
