Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane have been called closed for the demand for reservation for Maratha community. Maratha Morcha coordinators have appealed to not be violated and violent during bandh.
On Tuesday afternoon, a meeting of the Maratha Morcha coordinators was held in Mumbai. In this meeting, the decision to call a bandh in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Navi Mumbai and Palghar was announced on Wednesday. Virendra Pawar, Mumbai Coordinator announced this. The organizers said that the protesters should take cautions and not do violence anywhere in the morning to avoid any wrongdoing. Schools, colleges will continue on Wednesday, as well as essential services and milk vendors. This is not a party march but it is a Maratha community movement. The meeting demanded that the state government should immediately stop mega recruitment and resign by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
There is no protest in the meeting that a government official or minister has not reached the meeting of the Maratha community in Parli.
