Assembly elections and Lok Sabha elections will be united in the state. Therefore, NCP’s all-rounder Sharad Pawar has given orders to his workers to immediately make preparations for the elections. The sources said that the instructions were given at the meeting of NCP chief leaders in Mumbai on Monday.
Congress-NCP decided to fight together for the upcoming elections, NCP has given a proposal for allocation of seats to 50 per cent of the seats. Since both the parties have the same strength in the state, Sharad Pawar wants to allot the seats in this area. On the other hand, between the BJP-Shiv Sena, there is uncertainty about the alliance and if they do not join the coalition, the government has the right to dissolve the pre-election Assembly. So, BJP can take the decision of meeting upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha elections. NCP leader Nawab Malik said this.
Considering the chances of the elections coming together, the party has to be organized. Preparations were a bit difficult after the election was announced, which is why Sharad Pawar made such a suggestion, Malik told the media. However, he said that assembly and Lok Sabha elections can not be held in the country without the constitutional amendment. He also said that BJP is trying to hold elections together for Damage Control.
Meanwhile, Amit Shah had expressed his desire to assemble the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections all over the country. However, due to the low VVPAT numbers, some states can be held simultaneously in the elections, but can not be held throughout the country. The Election Commission, however, said that Assembly and Lok Sabha elections can be convened in eight states by March next year.
