Bengaluru: 17 June :- Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy said that he has sought time to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday to discuss the issue of the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CMA) formed recently. Kumaraswamy, who went to Delhi to participate in the Policy Commission meeting, also said that Union Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari gave him time to discuss the issue yesterday at 12.30 pm.
He told reporters in New Delhi, “I have asked for a time to meet Prime Minister to discuss CMA. The Prime Minister has not given time yet. “The Karnataka government had earlier opposed any move to constitute the Cauvery Water Management Board.
Significantly, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee, CM Pinarai Vijayan of Kerala and CM Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh had sought permission from LG Anil Baijal to meet Arvind Kejriwal, who is lodging in the LG House, but They refused to allow.
