15 June :- University administration has suspended action against Shona Sen, assistant professor of Nagpur University, who was arrested on alleged alleged involvement in the violence in Koregaon Bhima. Sen is currently in the custody of Pune Police. They have been accused of involvement in illegal activities, criminal conspiracy, and increasing felony and causing riots.

Pune Police had arrested people belonging to Naxalites in the violence in Koregaon Bhima a few days ago. In this, Shoma Sen along with Surendra Gadling, Mahesh Raut, Sudhir Dhawale and Ronana Wilson were arrested from different cities. Police had already monitored them since they had Naxalite relations. Meanwhile, due to the arrest of the accused, the Nagpur University has suspended Shoma Sen and has suspended him.
Meanwhile, according to Shoma’s daughter Koyal Sen, his mother is a human rights activist and also a backward class worker activist. koyal Sen said Shoma had not been arrested earlier nor did he have any inquiry.
This action has been taken to silence people who have raised voice for Backward Classes rights. At present, the political atmosphere of the country is that no one is ready to listen to the people of the underprivileged community, and Koyal Sen is accused of being deported when they start talking.
