Kolkata Knight Riders beat Kings XI Punjab by 31 runs on Saturday to finish fourth in the table. In the last few matches, Kolkata lost the fourth spot in the points table.

Kolkata Knight Riders batting first, in the 44th match of IPL, have batted first and scored 245 runs in 6 matches. This is the highest score in this season. Punjab won the toss and decided to field first. But they seem to have reversed this decision.

Kolkata’s opener Sunil Narine top-scored with 75 runs. He scored only 36 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes.

Opening batsman Chris Lin was well supported. Lynn was dismissed by 27 runs in 17 balls. Sunil Narine (75) and Robin Uthappa (24 off 17 balls) were at the crease.

Captain Dinesh Karthik and explosive batsman Andre Russell fired in full swing. Kartik scored 50 off 23 balls and Russell scored 31 runs in 14 balls. Now Punjab need 246 runs in 20 overs for a win.

The Kolkata Knight Riders struggling to stay alive in IPL-11 will now have to withstand Kings XI Punjab.

In the last match, Kolkata are fifth on the losing side against Mumbai Indians, while Punjab are in third position. Therefore, the cricket fans are focused on the hope that Kolkata will maintain hope for the Punjab play-off.
