08 July : Kolhapur :- Five people were killed on the spot in a collision between a car in Chandila taluka (district Kolhapur). This incident happened today (Sunday) around 5.30 in the evening. All the dead youths were residents of Belgaum. Everybody had come for a walk since the holiday was a day. Sadly, these five friends put on dark.
At around 5.30 in the evening, the youth was going to Wagon R. Karne (KA4 MB 4620) to the Army Pest in Kodali, near Tilari. After coming to this point, their car did not break. So the car collapsed in the valley. The accident was so fierce that five people in the car died on the spot. The car was literally crushed. Two bodies were stuck in the car. The police finally cut the car part by cutter and cut it out of the body. All the bodies have been sent to Chandigarh for postmortem.
Mohan Laxman Redekar (age 40), Kisan Mukund Gawde (19), Yellappa N. The deceased were identified as Patil (45), driver Pankaj alias Jyotirling Sampat Killekar (39) and Nagendra Sidriyya Babu Gawde (29). After crossing some distance from the point, the car driver did not know the exact direction of the road due to fog. A car passes through the door, leaving the road. It collapsed around 250 feet. The five tourists were killed on the spot, said Chandgad police station inspector Dilip Patil.
It is understood that these five youths were working in a bank organization in Belgaum. Since the holidays, everyone had gone out to walk. The villagers of the police and Kodali villages pulled out the bodies lying in the valley.
