The assistance from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been helped to assist flood victims in Kerala, informed Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Also, a meeting of the state cabinet was held. In this meeting, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the decision to take a special session on August 30 to discuss the deluge, rehabilitation and reconstruction of Kerala has been taken.

Highest rainfall for August in monsoon
According to the weather department, the record rainfall for the first time in August this year is the first time in the past 87 years in Kerala. This year between August 1 and 20, 771 mm rainfall has been recorded in Kerala. It has been the first rain for the first time since the last 87 years. Weather officer Pulak Guhathakurta said that in the year 1931, the state had received 1132 mm of rains in August. This was the highest rainfall month.

The Central Government has declared a flood disaster in Kerala as a serious disaster. More than 400 people have died in this Mahapura till date. According to the weather forecast, the intensity of rainfall will be low in the next five days.
12.5 crores assistance from UAE entrepreneurs
Hands have come from all over the world to help Kerala. The three Indian entrepreneurs in the United Arab Emirates have announced a grant of Rs 12.5 crore. The UAE has announced a relief of Rs 34 crore.
