27 May :- Sidhu Nizamgowda, the newly elected MLA from Karnataka, has died unfortunate in road accident. According to the media reports, Sidhu was traveling from Goa to Karna by car. Meanwhile, their car had an accident. Siddhu, 69, was senior Congress leader. In the recent Vidhan Sabha elections, he again went to the Legislative Assembly after defeating BJP Umadevara from Jamkhandi constituency.
According to the information, Sidhu had gone to his house in Bagalkot. After coming to Tulsirigiri, the tire bursts of his Innova car (KA 48 M5015) and the car hit the kar next to the road. Sidhu died on the spot. Three of his colleagues were injured. In the recent assembly elections, Sidhu was once again defeated by BJP candidate Shrikant Subbarao Kulkarni by over two and a half thousand votes.

Meanwhile, the number of Congress MLAs has increased to 77 in Siddhu’s death. Earlier, 222 seats in Karnataka out of 224 seats were held. With the resignation of Kumaraswamy and Sidhu’s death, the total number of seats in Karnataka has reduced to four seats.
In Karnataka, Congress (78), now 77, JDS, 37, and a BSP legislator, Kumaraswamy became the Chief Minister, and the BJP with 104 MLAs sat on the opposition benches. This equation can change in the byelection byelection.
