To increase the Marathwada Swazlam, it is necessary to increase the forest in large scale. During the period from 1 July to 31 July, 13 crore tree plantation programs will be implemented throughout the state. In this program, forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar appealed to all citizens to join the forest as a mission to fight the Marathwada.

He was speaking at a press conference held before the planting and maintenance planning and review meeting of Aurangabad division in the Land and Water Management Institute (Walmi). Mr. Mungantiwar said, in 2015, under the tree plantation program, all schools have set up nearly six lakh trees on one day. In the year 2016, two million trees were planted. It has been recorded in Limca Book of Records due to the response of the citizens to this campaign. Kalpavriksha Bamboo has led the state in development. Soil, water conservation works are being strengthened by connecting the founder Shiva to such an important water efficient Shiva Abhiyan. For the first time in the state, the Eco battalion has been established in Aurangabad. The Battalion is planting 65 hectares of land in Abdimandi on Gairan ground, 25 hectares of Shandraban. Considering the scope of the battalion work, land will be made available for tree cultivation in 100 hectare area next year.

Gram Panchayat, Rural Development Department is planting trees in the area of Gairan region for large-scale tree plantation in revenue sector. In the year 2016, 10 lakhs of 9 thousand seedlings in the rainy season, 26 lakhs 19 thousand seedlings in 2017, and 65 lakhs 40 thousand seedlings will be planted in the monsoon in 2018.

To increase forest area in Marathwada, 330 -kilometer tree plantation will be planted by the year 2020. According to the Social Forestry Department, in 2018, there are four thousand 914 I will be planting 27.13 lakh seedlings on the road. For the purpose of implementing Tree Planting Campaign more transparency, separate rooms at district, department level have been set up.

All the districts of Marathwada have been declared as District wise targets under 13 crore Plantation Program. In it, the target for Marathwada is 291.74 lakhs. Aurangabad 44.44, Jalna 36.26, Beed 26.06, Osmanabad 27.68, Latur 33.46, Parbhani 34.16, Hingoli 29.47 and Nanded 60.21 lakhs. Marathwada has achieved 92% target in Green Army registration. In this, Aurangabad 35, Jalna 29, Beed 138, Osmanabad 242, Latur 210, Parbhani 28, Hingoli 81 and Nanded 33 percent of the achievements have been achieved. 81 percent of the plants in Marathwada have been reared under four crore trees. In this, Aurangabad 9 5, Jalna 9 4, Beed 83, Osmanabad 77, Latur 78, Parbhani 64, Hingoli 89 and Nanded 70 percent of the plants have been reared.

Citizen and NGOs played a vital role in protecting the two crore and four crore trees of the government. Even today, the 13 million tree plantation campaign should be spontaneously participated. More than 45,000 complaints have been received and action has been taken so far.
