The Supreme Court has transferred the case to Pathankot, Punjab, in a case related to the Kadua massacre and murder case that shocked the entire nation. The father of the victim’s daughter had demanded to move the case to the Chandigarh court and the accused also filed a petition demanding transfer of the case to the CBI by the police. But the court rejected the plea of the accused.
A eight-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped and murdered in a temple in Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir. After the charge-sheet was filed, the horror of this whole issue came to light and there was a panic in the whole country. The resignations of ministers of the Jammu and Kashmir government were taken. The girl’s body was found in the same area after an eight-year-old girl living in a village near Kathua, leaving her near her house on January 10.
The Supreme Court had already warned that if the possibility of a fair hearing is not being done, then the case would be transferred to another court. State Police Crime Branch filed separate chargesheet against seven accused and minor accused in the Sessions Court in Kathua district. The shocking information came to light after the assassination of the girl in the charge sheet that she had been brutally tortured in the temple before her murder.
