03 Sep : New Delhi : News Express 24 :-

In the last Lok Sabha election, the people of the country gave many promises to the BJP. One of these assurances was the cleanliness of the river Ganges. Although the election of 2019 has only arrived in a few months, the river Ganga has not been cleaned. According to the World Wide Fund (WWF) report, Ganga is one of the most endangered rivers in the world.

Most of the rivers in India experience wet and dry drought. The Ganges is no exception to that. Ganga river, which flows two thousand ninety feet in the country, emerges in Uttarakhand and gets to the Bay of Bengal. Due to the historic, cultural and religious significance of the Ganga, 10 lakh square kilometers of farmland flourishes. However, due to the pollution, the river Ganges is very bad. The river Ganges is found only from the river Rishikesh. The state of the toilets is pathetic in most parts of the Ganges river. In many places, people are deferent in the open. Due to this the river is polluted.

Gangetic is the most polluted river 400 km from Kanpur. From Rishikesh to Kolkata, there are several power projects on the banks of river Ganga. The chemical water is released directly into the river Ganga in these projects. Therefore, pollution is more addictive. Apart from this, polluted water in many factories is released directly into the river without any process. Therefore, the Ganga river which is considered as a life partner has been severely polluted. Ganga river flows through Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. In all these states, the state of the river is very bad.
