For this reason, there was no change in the points of both the teams, while in both the goals difference both teams were on equal footing. In this case, ‘Fair Play’ points were used, where Japan stops Senegal from coming to the next round.

However, in the Samara Arena, Senegal and Columbia started a routine and tried to penetrate each other’s defense through long passage. In the last moments of the first half, Senegal’s side was huge. However, they did not succeed in making the edge.

Columbia showed a better game in the second half and showed confidence in the ball for longer control, with the advantage of getting them in the 74th minute. Quintero gave a brilliant cross on the corner, on which the Defender Yairi Meena, who played Spanish club FC Barcelona, scored his team 1-0 ahead with a header.

Three minutes later Senegal got a chance to equalize. Senegal got a corner, but with great defense on Mane’s head, Ospina kept Columbia’s lead. Senegal’s forward Ismaela Sarak got an opportunity to score an equalizer in the 80th minute of the match. Mane passed the essence in the box, but he got hit on the goalpost and ended the hopes of reaching the next round of Senegal.
