A Maharashtra court has issued arrest warrants against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and 15 others in a 2010 case related to the demonstration on Godavari river’s Babli project. In Nanded district, Judicial First Class Magistrate NR Gajbhia of Dharmabad has directed the police to arrest all the accused and present them before the court till September 21.
Arrest warrant has been issued by Maharashtra's Dharmabad Court against Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu, AP irrigation minister and 14 others in connection with an agitation held by TDP in 2010 against the Maharashtra govt opposing the construction of Babhali project.

In undivided Andhra Pradesh, then Naidu and others living in the opposition were arrested for protesting against the Babli project in Maharashtra and they were put in jail in Pune. They were opposing the project on the basis that it would affect people in the lower part. Later he was released but he did not ask for bail.
Different streams of IPCs, including threatening to use the attack or criminal force, intentionally wound in the weapon or any other way, to jeopardize the lives of others, to impede the work of the masses on all those people.
