April 29 : –

A group of gang-ridden Dalits left the Hindu religion on Sunday in Una, Gujarat. Nearly 300 to 350 Dalits started a Buddhist dhamma with a family in the Unna Dalit torture case two years ago. Baloo Sarvaina, a member of the victim’s family, welcomed other people in the society.

According to media reports, Balu’s son Ramesh said that without his family, about 300 people from all the houses of the village and around 300 dalits from the whole of Gujarat have been initiated as a Hindu-Dalit, and took the initiative to initiate Buddhist Dhama in response to the atrocities committed.

The victim’s family said vasarama saravaiya, was murdered a year and half for us, but still no justice, is constantly being discriminated against us. Therefore, we have initiated Buddhist Dhamma today.

According to the Indian Express newspaper, the victim family and other dalits took an oath during conversion, that they would only believe in Buddhism and would not believe in Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Many people responded by saying that this is the second birth. Besides, ‘we were not considered Hindus, there was no entrance in the temples. For the same reason, we gave a lot of reaction to Hinduism leaving Buddhism.

Two years ago in July 2016, some Dalit youth were inhumanly beaten by the Gorakhdas. The whole country was shocked after this incident. Later, a massive Dalit movement was started in Gujarat. Due to the incident in Anamad, there is still great anger against dalits.
