06th Aug : News Express 24 :- In Sukma, Chhattisgarh, the police has achieved great success in killing the Maoists. There was a direct encounter between police and Naxalites in the forest of Nulkatung in Konata on Monday. 14 Naxalites were killed during the encounter. While a woman Naxalite has been arrested by the DRG jawans in the injured condition.
Apart from 14 naxals killed, 1 area committee member (ACM) with a bounty of Rs 5 lakh was arrested along with a female naxal. DGP (Anti Naxal) DM Awasthi said that about 16 Naxalites are expected to be killed in this encounter. However, bodies of 14 Naxalites have been recovered from the spot. The search operation in the jungle continues. This encounter took place between Gollapalli and Konta near Nalkkatung village. 16 weapons have been recovered from the spot. Includes 4 automatic weepons, two country blankets and a dozen rifles.
According to the DGP, the police had got this specific input that the Maoists had united in large numbers between Golapalli and Konta. After this, the security forces left for the spot. Anti naxal operation in two areas in the area is still underway.
According to DGP D. M. Awasthi, the team of DRG and STF is operating at two different places in Sukma. One of these places has finished operation in Gollapalli. Here the team of security forces is returning back to their camp with the bodies of Naxalites. According to him, a woman has been injured in the Naxalite encounter. He has been arrested.
Awasthi has informed about the release of another operation at some distance from this area. Referring to privacy, they have not disclosed that place. He said that these two places are so far, where the security forces have not yet knocked out. Taking advantage of this, Naxalites were operating their camps in these areas.
Chhattisgarh’s DGP (Anti Naxal) D.M. Awasthi has claimed to have completely eradicated Naxalism from the state till 2022. He said that there is still time, be ready to die for Naxalite weapons or else die.
