MUMBAI:06 June :- The Government has made yet another opportunity for the farmers who are yet to be deprived of some reasons for applying online in the farmers’ debt-relief scheme. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has decided to increase the participation of the scheme by June 15.
Historical and transparent debt waivers have been announced by the state government for the tired farmers of the state, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Farmers Samman Yojna-2011. The Chief Minister had earlier announced an inclusion in the scheme for the period April 1, 2001 to March 31, 2009, but the beneficiaries of the debt waiver scheme of 2008 and 2009 were not included in the scheme.
Also, between 2001 and 2016, the decision to give benefits of this scheme to the farmers, which had a long-term debt burden like empaulan, shednets and polyhouses. Therefore, all the farmers who have not been able to apply for some reason so far will get the benefit of this extension. Similarly, a one time settlement plan has already been extended till June 30, 2018.
