The dream was to see the Chennai Super Kings team beating Delhi Daredevils at the bottom. But the young men of Delhi defeated them by 34 runs and broke the dream of Chennai’s top spot. Delhi batted first with 162 runs.
Chasing the challenge, Ambati Rayudu, who scored a half century in the match, reached the milestone of 3,000 runs. But after a half century, he could not score any runs. Rayudu made 50 runs in four balls with four fours and sixes in 29 balls. With the exception of Rayudu, the other Chennai batsmen could not bat in front of them and they had to lose.
