23 June :- India, performing best, beat the opponent Pakistan in the first match of the Champions Trophy 4-0 in a one-sided fashion. For India, Ramandeep Singh scored 25th, Dilpreet Singh scored 54th, Mandeep Singh scored 57th and Lalit Upadhyay scored a field goal in the 59th minute. This is India’s first victory under the guidance of coach Harendra Singh.
India got a chance to score in the fourth minute but Ramandeep Singh missed the chance. After this, a penalty corner was found in the 14th minute on which Harmanpreet shot a shot but Pakistan’s goalkeeper Imran Butt did well and did not allow India to take the lead.
In the world ranking, the sixth-ranked Indian team got a penalty corner in the 16th minute. But Manpreet Singh missed here and defied Pakistan’s threat. In the 18th minute, Ramanddin could not send the ball to the heart of the heart of Dilipreet, 17, and India lost another chance to score.

The Champions Trophy was started in 1978. India has since participated in this tournament 36 times, but has not been successful in winning once. India’s best performance in the Champions Trophy was in 2016, when India lost in the penultimate shootout from Australia in the title match.
