New Delhi: 26 June :-  NCP chief Sharad Pawar, on the eve of making changes in his earlier stand, said today that the anti-BJP alliance is not practical before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Pawar said on one channel that the general body before elections is not practical. He said that though there is a lot of speculation in the media, about a few options, a lot about writing like a major alliance is being written. But I do not see the possibility of any major alliance or any other thing. We have some friends. Those people want it, but that is not possible. Pointing to the regional parties’ playing a key role after the election, Pawar said that I have to think and think that this will be a state-wise situation after all. There may be states like Tamil Nadu, where the main party will be DMK and other non-BJP parties have to accept it.

Pawar said that if you go to Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab. You will find that Congress is the number one party there. At the same time, anyone in Andhra Pradesh will have to accept Telugu Desam Party as the main party. In Telangana. Chandrasekhar Rao will keep a lot of significance. Naveen Patnaik will be a big force in Odisha. Mamta Banerjee will play a leading role in West Bengal. Pawar said that these people will strengthen their position in their respective states as the leader of the state, the party of the state, and not as a coalition. But after the election there will be every possibility that all these leaders will be united because the full thrust of the elections will be against the BJP.

The former Union minister said that he is confident that these forces will be united after the 2019 elections, but before the elections, they will not see any possibility of the alliance. Significantly, earlier this month, Pawar had said that all opposition parties should be united against the BJP in Lok Sabha elections next year. They gave it a status of 1977, when the coalition of parties carried out Indira Gandhi out of power.

He had said that anti-BJP parties, who believe in democracy and share the minimum program, should keep people’s desires in mind and should be united. I would be happy to be part of the process of keeping the same ideology all parties united.
