03 June :- Due to the furious bowling of the bowlers after an impressive 97 in the Mithali Raj’s maiden innings, the current champion India defeated hosts Malaysia by a huge margin of 142 runs in their first match of the women’s T20 Asia Cup cricket tournament.
Indian team won the toss and batted first and scored a strong score of 169 for three in 20 overs and then piled up Malaysia for 27 runs in 13.4 overs.

None of the Malaysian batsmen could touch the tenth figure, while six batsmen could not even open their account. For the team, Shaasha Azmi scored nine runs.
Pooja Vastrakar, India’s three wickets for six runs, Anja Patil and Poonam Yadav got two wickets each while Shikha Pandey took one wicket. Earlier, India scored a strong score of 169 for three in 20 overs. Mithali hit 13 fours and a six in 69 balls.
Captain Harmanpreet Kaur made 32 balls, with the help of four fours, and Dipti Sharma contributed an unbeaten 18 runs in 12 balls with two fours. Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Thailand are also participating in the tournament.
