06th Aug : News Express 24 :- The important bill for constitutional status of the OBC Commission has been approved in the Rajya Sabha also. Earlier this bill was passed on August 3 in the Lok Sabha. Now it has been approved in Rajya Sabha too. In view of the elections of 2019, the government of India has approved the bill to please the backward class. BJP President Amit Shah has approved the bill and thanked the BJP workers and the country for giving thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. If 156 members voted in favor of this bill, no vote was cast against this bill.

Union minister Thawarchand Gehlot said that the doubt was that the powers of the states would be reduced due to the approval of the OBC Bill. Gehlot said that if the bill is approved, the states would like to include the caste in the OBC central list. As the 123rd amendment in the bill, the vote was split, in which 156 members, all of them voted in favor of this bill. He also said that this is a very important decision. I am happy that all the members voted in favor of this bill. They assured that 3 members will suggest some improvements in this bill.
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power, he had promised that this government is a government of the poor and the people of the masses. Gehlot said that the government has kept its word in the Rajya Sabha by approving the bill related to it.
