The Baltal route was also closed on Wednesday to go to Amarnath cave. Now the Pahalgam route has closed down, devotees of more than three thousand Baba Blissi are trapped on the Nunav base camp. During this year’s journey, number of devotees who have lost their lives so far has reached 11.
According to the spokesperson, 5,919 pilgrims appeared in the holy cave on the seventh day of Amarnath Yatra. This year, now 60, 752 pilgrims have visited Shiv Ling in the holy cave. A police official said that the number of devotees killed during this year’s journey has increased to 11. On Thursday, a woman died on the Ararat route on the Baltal route. The woman has been identified as Lakshmi of Hyderabad. Three devotees were killed in the landslide of Bariaragarg and Railpati on Tuesday night, while four devotees were injured.
