A group of nearly 90 ‘Asha’ representatives from across the country today expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday and recently announced increase in the Central Government’s incentives and declaration of insurance cover. The Prime Minister recalled his recent dialogue with Asha and Anganwadi activists all over the country through video conferencing.

According to the release of the Prime Minister’s Office, Modi appreciated the experiences shared by the Asha representatives and the personal story that day. He said that these experiences will definitely prove to be inspirational for countless people. During the interaction, the Asha workers shared some of their experiences and personal stories and how they had played an important role in saving the precious lives of poor mothers and their children by taking proper steps at the right time. The Prime Minister appreciated the wonderful skills and dedication of the hope workers.
The Prime Minister encouraged them to dedicate their energy to work together with various government agencies to improve the quality of life of the people in their respective villages. He also explained in detail how all the government schemes and initiatives aimed at empowering the poor to fight poverty. Along with that, he said that Bill and Melinda Gates also highly appreciated the efforts of the hope workers in the direction of eradication of deadly diseases like Kalrajar. Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J P Nadda was also present on this occasion.
