New Delhi: 18 June :- Three people, including a nine-year-old girl, died in the devastating earthquake that hit Japan’s western city of Osaka. According to the news of the official broadcaster ‘NHK’ and the private channel ‘Asahi’, many people are expected to be killed. According to the news agency ‘Kyodo’, a nine-year-old girl was trapped in the wall falling on the swimming pool complex located in the north of Osaka. Local police say they can not confirm these reports.
The intensity of earthquake has been assessed at 6.1 on the Richter scale. According to the Japanese broadcaster NHK, there is a nine-year-old girl and two men in the dead. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), earthquake shocks were felt at 7.58 in the morning and its center remained at Honshu of Osaka province.
However, no warning was issued to the Tsunami. Many buildings collapsed in Osaka and Takatsuki. Osaka, Shiga, Kyoto and Nara inhibited high-speed bullet train and local railway services. The administration says that none of the 15 nuclear reactors in the area have been affected by the earthquake. The Japanese government has constituted a taskforce to collect information related to earthquake. According to NHK, after the earthquake, electricity supply in some 170,000 homes in Osaka was stalled after Osaka.
