New Delhi: 17 May: – A new passport service center will be opened in Amravati, Akola, Chandrapur, Baramati and Madha in Maharashtra, Information Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Dr. Dnyaneshwar Mulay gave the introduction to the Maharashtra Introduction Center today.
Every 50km in the country The Ministry of External Affairs for setting up a passport service center at the intervals is going to take an important step in this direction and announced the third phase of ‘Passport Your Dari’ program today. In the beginning of this phase, it has been decided to set up a passport service center in places like Amravati, Akola and Chandrapur districts of Baramati in Pune district and Madha taluka of Solapur district. In this phase, Maharashtra has approved 38 new passport service centers in 14 states in the country. Mule said.
13 new Passport Seva Kendras in Maharashtra Territory –
In order to get citizens’ passports in their district, the Ministry of External Affairs undertook a program to set up 251 passport centers across the country in January 2017 with the help of the post section under ‘Passport Your Dari’ program. Under the first two stages of this program, so far, 19 new passport service centers have been started in the country and in Maharashtra, Mule said.
These are 13 new passport service centers –
Through this program, the passport service centers have been opened in Maharashtra, Wardha, Jalna, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Beed, Nanded, Sangli, Kolhapur, Satara, Ghatkopar-Vikhroli, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Silvassa and Daman-Diu in Maharashtra area till date. In the first two stages of this program, 20 passport service centers will be set up in Maharashtra territory, out of which 13 service centers have been started and the remaining 7 passport services centers will be opened soon. Also, the passport service center will be commissioned in the third phase. Mule said.
