The ATS has informed the court that Shyam Manav, Jitendra Awhad, Mukta Dabholkar, Ajit Pawar and Ritu Raj were also involved in the Hindu fundamentalists’ detentions by the State Anti-Terror Squad (ATS). This information has been revealed during the Mumbai sessions court hearing.
ATS had arrested Avinash Pawar (30) on Saturday in Ghatkopar under ‘Prevention of Non-Violence Act’ (UAPA) last week. Avinash Pawar was produced in the court today (Friday) after the expiry of his term of police custody. During the hearing, the judges read the case diary. It is learned from the case diary that Shyam Manav, Jitendra Awhad, Mukta Dabholkar, Ajit Pawar and Ritu Raj were on the radar of Hindu fundamentalists. It has been said that for the Shyam Manav, the hardcore Hindu activists have recovered.
Police had arrested Avinash Pawar after Pawar’s relationship with the fundamentalists who were arrested in connection with the explosives, arms and other weapons that had been extracted from other parts of the state along with Nalasopara.
Pawar’s name came in the wake of the investigation of Vaibhav Raut, Sharad Kalaskar, Sudhna Gondhalekar and Shrikant Pangarkar, who were arrested earlier in this case. ATS had earlier in the day expressed suspicion that Pawar was an active member of the group that was involved in terrorism, the act of terrorism, and that he had created a raid in a raid.
