03 June :- For the travelers of Jet Airways and Indigo Airlines, Sunday’s day is like a nightmare. 158 passengers of the airline, Jet Airways, were stuck at Mumbai airport on Sunday. These passenger flight 9W-2314 were from Mumbai-Ahmedabad. At the same time, IndiGo’s VT-ITE Neo aircraft, which had taken off from Delhi to Ranchi, was flown back to Delhi in an emergency.
According to Jet Airways passengers stranded at the airport, Jet staff told that the Ahmedabad airport has been closed, though Jet Airways officials later told the news agency NI that such a plane was due to technical fault.
Jet Airways official further said that it is true that a notice (notaid) was issued to Airman for runway maintenance from 10 am to 3 pm but Jet Airways had been allowed to land. However, later it was found that the aircraft had a technical fault.
IndiGo’s plane had to return to Delhi
At the same time, IndiGo’s VT-ITE Neo aircraft, which has taken off from Delhi to Ranchi, was returned to Delhi in an emergency. Indigo said in his statement that after flying the aircraft, some traces were found in his engine.
VT-ITE Neo aircraft operating 6E-509 (Delhi-Ranchi) had an air turn back to Delhi . Crew carried out engine inflight shut down following standard industry procedure. Later the engine had to close. 183 passengers and 7 air crew aboard the plane were taken out of the plane.
